FUN OUTINGS: keep planning them:
-
Hydrographic’s tour postponed. Not sure when available now as he has been swamped.
-
Cemeteries: Paula checked out the Rosehill cemetery, known for it’s Tiffany glass. The mausoleum main entrance is off Ravenswood, and there’s a goo dplace for brunch just down the street. Last free tour is 2nd week October (Sat 13th) https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g35805-d557727-r17555327-Rosehill_Cemetery-Chicago_Illinois.html#UR17555327 but shelve this one for later as we already have enough going on.
-
Discussion and decided: Please list things that are good ideas for fun visits. Get info to Carol by next week, Sept 30th. We’ll have a bunch of go-tos.

Philanthropic practicals of Heartland Alliance choice,
Kovler Center: Morey to arrange site visit date and time, then whoever can make it to come check it out can join in. Morey not here, but had said we can go whenever and check things out. However at this point, that’s not going to happen in time for this year to do a project. Vicky will keep up with it to have it happen next year. Vicky will also check in to collecting the previous pour pieces from Patricia and getting them to Heartland.
As a quick donation back-up we’ll do watercolor pieces ready-to-hang at our next meeting, instead of the Tiffany glass mausoleum trip. Paula will order canvases (first see what is possible to get donations of) and teach a class on watercolor and everyone will do one piece for donation. Canvases with the fiber-paste troweled on, watercolors, brushes. Estimate $200, Heartland check for $200 to Paula today, she’ll keep receipts, sort out balance/give back money not spent once know full costs and have receipts.
Vicky motioned to go ahead with this plan, seconded: Carol. Vote unanimous: YES!
We also need to have the non-profit documentation letter to run around buying things with no sales tax or getting donations.
Elections. Morey & Patricia both said please have them as agreeing to vote the slate.
Nominations:
President: Barb Runyard
Treasurer: Ann-Marie Killilea
Vice President #2: Morey Dunbar
Secretary: Paula Clayton
Marian motioned to accept all nominees for listed positions, seconded: Carol.
Vote unanimous: YES!

Vicky is interested in the upcoming CE presentation at Highpoint. A one-hour non-brand-specific presentation on what do for Designers & Architects. She contacted National and spoke with Dianne Williams to find out if we could do that here as well. Apparently the CE needs to be presented by authorized people. Dianne is willing to Skype in to any meetings we have where we have questions. Highpoint has great impact with designers, being associated with it adds creditability.
